The Wiki OTO 2026 campaign ran from 25 August to 26 September, as a collaboration between Wiki Loves Women and Africa Wiki Women, focusing this year on Women in Politics.
The campaign brought contributors together to document and improve items about African women in political life on Wikidata. It included a dedicated training session followed by a month of contributions, giving participants the opportunity to put their skills into practice.
Together, 89 contributors created and improved 1,072 Wikidata items (397 new and 675 edited), helping strengthen the representation of African women in free knowledge.

Their contributions, alongside those of all the participants, helped make this campaign possible.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed, participated in the training, supported the campaign, and helped document the stories and achievements of African women in politics. See you again next year!
