Two days were earmarked to celebrate Nigerian women in the month of January 2017, 16th and 17th to be precised.
The event was c0-organized by Goethe Institut, Wikimedia UG Nigeria and She Writes Woman. The program was tagged “Mental Illness among Nigerian Women: Taking back the Initiative.
The program involved arrays of stake holders in the area of mental illness awareness advocacy in the country. Participants came from nooks and cranes of the country to attend the event that took place at GI office Lagos.
The founder of the focused partner, Hauwa Ojeifo briefed the group on the challenges facing Nigerian women with the such ailment and how her NGO has been supporting them.
On the last day two of the event , participants were introduced to Wikipedia and how they can contribute to it.
