On the 10th October, 2016 Wikimedia UG Nigeria, Bestspring Foundation, Goethe Institut and WikiAfrica co-hosted Wiki Loves Women event at Goethe Institut in Lagos, Nigeria.
The event was tagged: Women in Social Services: Promoting SDG in Nigeria. In attendance are stakeholders in social services in Nigeria. The program contributed over 50 images to Wikimedia commons and three articles to the main page of Wikipedia. The program focuses on two projects on Wikimedia: Wikipedia and Wiki Commons.
Major high point of this event is an edit-a-thon organised among the participants, the class was divided into two classes namely: Content Creation on Wikpedia and Image upload on Wiki commons.
