The African Summit on Girls and Women in Technology was held from the 13-14th September 2016 at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.The event sought to bring together women on the African continent who were playing diverse roles in the tech sphere and to set up an agenda in getting more women in ICT. The event came off under the auspices of  the Alliance for Affordable Internet(A4AI), Web We Want and  with support from the Ghana- India Kofi Annan Center of  Excellence in ICT,(KACE -AITI) The African Development Bank and UN Women.

Participants were drawn from different countries across the Africa Continent and beyond who were mostly leaders in Technology.

Wiki Loves Women (Ghana) was ably represented by two team members Miss Ursula Zita Zage and Miss Harriet Bayel who are also   active women in tech sphere.

They networked and took pictures of some notable women at the event. They also had the chance to introduce the project to some of the participants at the Summit.
