The instigators of the Wiki Loves Women project are meeting up in Accra on Monday the 23rd of January. During this meeting, hosted by the Goethe Institute, they will evaluate the actions who have been taking place since 2016 and their outcomes, just before the end of the initiative promoting African women on Internet and Wikipedia.
The User Group from Côte d’Ivoire will be represented by 3 of its members. Dominique Eliane, project manager in Côte d’Ivoire, Samuel Guebo, editorial manager and GLAM coordinator (Galeries, Bookshops, Archives & Museums) and Donatien Kanga Wiki Loves Women supervisor and User Group President.
This meeting is organised on the side of the 2nd edition of WikiIndaba which is a yearly conference for Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Africa. Around 50 participants are expected from the 19th to the 22nd of January 2017. The first edition of Wikiindaba took place in 2014 in Johannesburg, in South Africa.
